The U.S. Armed Forces propose several programs to provide students with money for school.

Montgomery G.I. Bill
Under the Montgomery GI Bill, the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard (and their Reserves and the National Guard) provide an education to inspire you to join and serve a tour of duty. The Montgomery GI Bill (MGIB) offers up to 36 months of education advantages. It is available for eligible veterans for college, business, technical or vocational courses, correspondence courses, apprenticeship/job training and flight training. MGIB advantages may be used not only when you are on active duty but even after a fully honorable discharge from active duty.
The Montgomery GI Bill benefit can vary and depend on changes in the Consumer Price Index (CPI).  Education benefit rates depend on quantity of years of active duty. If your active duty lasts three years, benefit rates can be $1,075/month and if your active duty lasts two years benefit rates can be $873/month. Rates for those serving part-time in the Reserve or National Guard are $309/month. Thus you can get nearly $11,124 for serving part-time in the Reserve or National Guard and up to $38,700 for a tour of active duty in the military services.
Recruits must agree to have $100 deducted from their pay each month to qualify for the Montgomery GI Bill. Currently, only 57% of soldiers making these payments eventually use their GI Bill benefits.

Tuition Assistance (TA)
The Armed Forces Tuition Assistance (TA) Program let enlisted servicemembers and offers to enroll in courses at accredited colleges, universities, junior colleges, high schools, and vocational-technical schools. TA will provide up to 100% of the cost of the course and up to 100% of the cost of obtaining a high school degree. But there is a limit of $250 per credit hour and total annual limit of $4,500. MGIB benefits may be used to complete TA benefits. You need to pay the difference between tuition and the TA benefits.

Community College of the Air Force
The Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) is a two-year college available only to enlisted men and women. It provides a variety of programs leading to an Associate's Degree, in more than 70 scientific and technical fields. The Air Force provides up to 100% of the cost of the college courses through its Tuition Assistance Program.

Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP)
When you enlist under the Student Loan Repayment Program, the Army will pay back up to $65,000 in qualified education loans (up to $20,000 for reservists), the Navy up to $65,000 and the Air Force nearly $10,000. Each year SLRP repay 15% of the loan balance or $50. Annual and cumulative caps on the amount may be repaid. Members must score 50 or higher on the Armed Forces Qualifications Test (AFQT). SLRP must be needed at the time of enlistment or reenlistment. Federal education loans such as the Perkins, Stafford, PLUS, or Consolidation loans belong to qualified education loans. They do not include private alternative loans. Defaulted loans are not eligible. Payments made under the SLRP are supposed taxable income.
