Full Tuition Academic Scholarships

Two scholarships provide the full cost of tuition. They are awarded through the Admissions Office.
Students who are given their merit scholarship, the Jacob Albright Scholarship, are invited to apply for the full-tuition Warren L. Davis Scholarship. The scholarship depends on the candidate’s academic qualifications, scholarship application, financial need. Applicants must write an essay. They must describe in details what they will contribute to Albright College, the Honors Program, and the student body during their four years on campus. From the quantity of applicants, the scholarship selection committee selects about ten students to interview for the scholarship.
Students getting this award are invited to participate in the Albright Honors Program, live on campus for three years (at least two in honors housing), and maintain a 3.3 overall grade point average as a full-time student.

Boston College Presidential Scholars Program
Nearly 15 full tuition scholarships are offered per year to entering freshmen by the Presidential Scholars Program, in conjunction with the Financial Aid Office. These scholarships cover full funding for summer programs following the first three years of study. Incoming freshmen are paired with faculty tutors and library resource persons. 
Selection is based on academic excellence, participation in community service, leadership potential. Median combined SAT’s for entering Presidential Scholar classes for the past several years have been in the range of 1500 to 1520.
Formal application process is not required. All students who apply to Boston College under Early Action (nonbinding) are automatically considered. Nearly 60 finalists are invited to campus for an information weekend (Wednesday evening-Sunday). The week includes two individual interviews, writing samples, and information sessions.

Charles R. Westgate Scholarship in Engineering
Each year the Dean of Engineering and the Admissions Committee gives two four-year full tuition scholarships to entering students. The awards are for undergraduate study in any engineering sphere. Applicants must continue enrollment in the G.W.C. Whiting School of Engineering and have a 3.0 or better GPA.
Selection is based on academic superiority and your interests in Engineering. Candidates must demonstrate a prominent high school record and achievements in other areas including progress in science fairs, leadership and evidence of independent research.
No formal application is required. If you want to be awarded, you must apply for freshman admissions to Johns Hopkins University by January 1, and be interested in Engineering.
